Note:The first 10-15 minutes of the sermon were accidentally not recorded. This included the Scripture reading of Luke 22:7-27, and the introduction to this new series looking at the last 24 hours of Jesus’ life. The sermon begins with the disciples and Jesus in Luke 9, where He warns them of his suffering and death in Jerusalem and how if they want to come after him they must deny themselves, take up their cross daily and follow him. They don’t get it and eventually begin arguing over which disciple is the greatest. We then fast forward to the upper room as Jesus observes Passover and gives them bread and wine to point to his sacrificial death. At this point in the sermon, the Lord’s Supper is observed.
This is where the recording picks up.
